Shifter knob thread size/pitch
Does anyone know the thread size/pitch for the floor shifter knob on a T-18 4-speed manual transmission? '72 F250. I was told it's a 3/8-24 but that's too small... Thanks!

Re: Shifter knob thread size/pitch
I was thinking 3/8 also.
Sooo , maybe a 7/16- 20 ?
Get an open end wrench and see what fits 3/8 ,7/16 , 1/2.
depending on what you want to do you can get bushing adapters , and some knobs use a set screw so there are no threads.

I figured it out... 7/16-14 (standard coarse thread) for the T-18 in my '72 F250.
