Re: PaPa's 69 F100 Explorer
When I started this project I was only going to get it running and turn it into a reliable driver. The more I look the more I find needing attention. There is minor rust in both cab corners, cab mounts and cab crossmember. All this is typical but is easier to fix now then later. After discussing this with my wife we decided that it was the right time to do a restoration on it. This will be a mostly stock build with a careful List of alterations such as converting to a 390 with automatic transmission, power steering, power disc front brakes, 3g alternator, cargo/brake lamp, upgrade stereo (hidden or converted factory) and delay wipers. With the exception of the alternator and stereo these parts will be supplied from my 75 F150. My wish list will be Vintage Air A/C, stroker kit, mild cam, mid length headers and Edelbrock Pro Flow 4 Fuel injection. On with the tear down.

Here are some shots of the front of the bed with some assembly line markings. Any idea what these mean?

A couple of the bed bolts looked brand new in the center.

Thank You, despite being somewhat neglected in stasis the last couple of decades it stood up pretty well. BTW I enjoyed reading your project thread and watching your youtube channel. Nice Job.

Appears to be more factory writing on the firewall behind and above the driver side apron.

Glad to help. Here are a few more that show where and how the fender shield attaches to the cab.
