Anyone know what screw size I should use to install my Door Sill Plates in my 68?
I really don't want to order the screws from LMC. Figure I can get them at local True Value Hardware but I'm unsure of the size and thread, etc.
These look like the door sills I have, but a lot dirtier

I believe when I replaced mine I used #8 stainless steel. I bought a large quantity of them at ace hardware as it seems it's the most commonly used screw throughout the truck. If you still have them take an old one with you to match up.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I removed these from my truck probably close to 10 years ago and I haven't found the screws yet.

Re: Screw size for Door Sill Plate?
I don't know what size the screw is, but it is pointed at the end of the screw. The screw is course threaded, with a cone shape at the head so it will fit into the door sills. The screw is also a Phillips head. The screw goes through the door sill into the floor board, you can see them stick through the bottom of the floor board. Hope this helps!
