Keyhole behind passenger door.

Post by AJ70 »

Hello everyone,

First time on here and there is an amazing amount of information. I have a question regarding my truck it’s a 1970 F250 camper special. I’m in the process of restoring it and have a question regarding a keyhole that’s in the rear exterior of the cab behind the passenger door. I can get to it from the inside but there is nothing there. It was wired to something.

Trying to figure out what it is. Debating on keeping it or removing it and plugging the hole.

Thank you

This is a view from the outside inside the cab corner it’s just got two connectors so when the key was open would complete the circut.

I'm going with some kind of home brewed ignition defeat.

My first guess would have been an old-school alarm system, but that wouldn't really make a lot of sense being on the passenger side. Either way it's certainly not original, and since it's not currently functional I would personally get rid of it
