I don't like the rotate the pushrod method because I've seen the lifter plunger lower while doing it. I shake the pushrod axially while tightening the nut. Once the pushrod doesn't move axially (inline with the shaft) then add 1/2-3/4 turn of preload on the lifter plunger.
Ranch, my studs are shouldered. I assume I just lock them down to 17-24 lbs

Yep. I like to make sure the fulcrum sits against the step without a push rod before final assy.

Not a bad choice, Street Avenger does get you some more features. Can’t remember - is it an automatic?

Might have a look at the Videos on the bottom of this page.

OK, make sure whatever you pick has a Ford transmission linkage and if its a Holley you will need the linkage parts... https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_sy ... arts/20-60 (make sure it is right for your final choice, I think there are 2 or 3 versions)

Gawd, I don't think I could pay $300 for a Holley. I'd be tempted to drop a pair of Chinese Webbers in place and have some fun with them.
