Thank you all for the help. I am using aftermarket hangers and shackles. I will have the truck on the ground tomorrow. Currently doing a complete brake overhaul and axle bearings.

With the shackles and hangers on and the truck jacked up, the drive shaft is butted completely up against the trans.

I jacket up the rear end until the frame was suspended and i got 1/4” of space between the DS and tnans. The bed is off and i am adding a 1970 Mustang tank to the rear this week.

I will definitely update tomorrow with wheels on and on the ground

Thanks again for all the help, much appreciated

Tank was delivered and is sitting in its final spot. That was to easy. Can’t wait to remove the tank behind the seat. For safety, smell, and room.

I work for 3M so i am going to coat the tank with 320. A water based rubberized material used in the industrial market.

I think we will need pictures of said coating after it is applied to the tank and the full name and part number so we can completely copy what you are doing.

Looks good. How much of the bottom frame rail has to be cut out?
Is this one sitting on 1” tubing?
