1972 F250 4 Speed manual transmission questions.

Post by 003Ryder »

Howdy all!! Been a while since the last time I posted on here, I was trying to find some info for my truck and I remembered this site!! So as the title says I have a few questions for all you transmission gurus. My 72' 4 Speed is starting to wear out sink rows not working as well, clutch wearing out not shifting as well that type of stuff So Ive decided its time for a rebuild! Problem is I cant seem to find a rebuild kit/Parts for it anywhere? Anyone here know where I can find a kit or individual parts for it? Also is there a service manual somewhere I can find so I do it right? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance,
Ryder

Before you rebuild everything try adjusting the clutch .
When the cab settles down the clutch won't disengage and make shifting hard.
You will want the lengthen the rod a little.
It's cheap and easy . :D
