Where are you going to document/post about your Power Wagon rebuild? I assume there is a Dodge or Power Wagon forum. Got a link? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to watch your progress!67Step4WD wrote:Love my bumpside, but I've just added a stable mate: Found this in Montana and yep I'm gonna do a restore!

Re: Alan's 1967 Shortbed Stepside 4WD
I'm new to the Power Wagon world, though I've been looking for one for a couple of years. I've learned a lot from several trips and lots of talk with the folks at Rough N Ready in Indio CA https://www.rough-readydpw.com/ There are a bunch of forums for war-era wagons, I haven't figured out where the most used forum is, but I'll' post it up, and I'll post some improvements I'm making on the bumpside as well.Idaho Chris wrote:Where are you going to document/post about your Power Wagon rebuild? Re: Alan's 1967 Shortbed Stepside 4WD
I've been looking at these for years. I owned one briefly, but they are war era trucks that top out at 46mph. I'm going to resto-mod this with a cummins, and modern 5 speed drive train. I'll need to swap the differential gearing: I'm hoping for a truck that looks like a war-era Power Wagon, but can do a highway stint at 65 mph without walking lane to lane....DuckRyder wrote:Thats gonna be pretty cool too, in fact it looks cool now...
