Fuel gauge

Post by 72 pickle »

Hey guys I’m having some trouble with my fuel gauge. I just bought the truck it’s a 1972 F100 sport custom short wide 390/c6 combo. The guy I bought it from out a new tank and sending unit in it but I can’t get any thing from the gauge. I got under there and hunkered the wires and gauge pegged out to full. I pulled the sending unit and moved the float by hand and it went to full. The float is brass and has no holes in it. I’m lost. Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly

Replace your IPVR on the back of your instrument cluster?

I haven’t done that. Is there a way to test it?
