Ford FT Engine Dipstick Replacement

HI All,

I own a 73 F600 with a 391 FT engine. I need a replacement oil dipstick.

The information in the tech section that is clearly label Ford FE/FT dipstick info i s very incorrect and mentions NOTHING about the FT engine oil dipstick part or replacement. It only mentions the FE Blocks.

There is a huge difference in the FT and the FE dipstick and tube. The FT tube and dipstick is about 12 inches longer and its as high as the top of the engine. Actually higher.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find a dipstick that i can use and or modify that is long enough to fit the original tube?

I would try an old junkyard or Ebay?

Install an FE tube or source a stick from some flavor of van, mark it as needed and cut off the excess.
