weather striping, window felts quality source?
I am in the market to re-seal the cab in my truck. door weatherstripping, window channels and felts. maybe even the wing windows, and windshield.
anybody feel like they know of a good quality source for rubber stuff like this? I have tried lmc in the past. was not crazy about their fit and finish/quality. Thanks all for the input.

For the door weatherstripping, here's the best:
Softseal part # FD9009
Better than any of the aftermarket stuff. Conforms good, looks like original after use.
Use 3m weatherstrip adhesive for a good bond.

My vote would be for Dennis Carpenter. He will probably have a 15% off sale soon.

Check out macsautoparts also. They have weatherstripping for our trucks.

Well Softseal must be good because people have recommended it.
I used this brand; Precision, and it’s good quality, maybe it’s the same manufacturer

Have you used Dennis carpenter for these items or other rubber seals? Were they good quality and fit in your opinion?Bullitt74 wrote:My vote would be for Dennis Carpenter. He will probably have a 15% off sale soon.

Have you tried the rubber seals from MACs? Would you consider them to be good quality and fit? The back window seal I got from LMC was smaller than the original and by the time it was installed I had a paint line exposed. Was not happy about that.....

Re: weather striping, window felts quality source?
From Dennis Carpenter - the door runs and window felts installed without issue. Had a bit of trouble with the vent seals, but it was more the fault of the rivets they provided (see my build thread). The windshield and back window seals - I didn't install, but the techs that did said they were good, just really stiff. Currently working on the door seals, and so far so good!1972hiboy wrote:Have you used Dennis carpenter for these items or other rubber seals? Update on the door seals - the DC ones are an extremely nice product. They sit in the pinchweld channel nicely, and are quite pliable and flexible.

Just installed some from DC this past week. Great fit and quality. I do have to slam the door a lot harder now however.
