Manny,

Very cool that you got to learn from an old body man! Those tricks are becoming things of the past. Especially with using those old fashioned slide hammers! My wife bought me one for christmas last year, and I still have yet to learn how to do it!
But awesome seeing some forward progress! Keep up the good work!

Manny once I am back to full swing I verify the list below.

Here is a partial list;
1) Set of brand new wheel cylinders still in boxes for the HD44.
2) Set of brand new wiper seal kits in boxes from Spicer for the HD44.
3) Set of brand new flexible brake lines from Wagner for the HD44.
4) Set of used spindles & hubs in good shape for the HD44.
5) Set of used brake drums in good shape for the HD44.
6) Complete HD44 axle maybe minus the spindle nuts but everything else is there. This axle does have new wheel cylinders as well, but they were installed 20 years ago and never really used. I think the axle shafts have new u-joints installed. I know that there are new king pin bearings top and bottom.

All the hardware is there as well so just let me know your need and I will pull it in the shop and start disassembly.

Had odd hours this week but made some progress. Hope to get more done around yard work tomorrow.

Passenger side was not as bad but still rough.
Image

The drip rail was mostly attached but had to add a piece. I've found wedging it in behind the panel then doing top and bottom weld works well.
Image

Also welded up the thin spots in the drip rail and then full welded it down where it was left and ground it all up.

Got the filler patch cut just gotta get it in all for now. :D

Progress is a good thing Manny. I did respond to the PM. I will get started tomorrow I hope. As far as tearing the axle down no problem.

Sounds like you have been a little busy. I completely understand that, I haven't been as regular myself due to being so busy. Looking forward to seeing some progress when you have the chance to get back at it again.

Now that's shameful. A month has passed without giving you guys a decent update showing lots of fun stuff happening. :( Only issue is the highboy has not been at the forefront as I have been refurbishing my mom's new 88' f150. I promise to not have another month or week for that matter without something happening. that I will get off my 3rd shift mayhem shortly, and attain a normal schedule again. Now I'm off to see your guys projects and what real progress looks like. :D

I'll play again. Things that have occurred. 1 78-79 disc brake dana 60 front owned by me. divorced np205 owned by me. So may have to build up that to give better drivability, and more durability. With those components i can also run 1350 1 ton driveshafts everywhere as well.

Secondly i have been messing with stance, and tires. I have some 35' for the 84 bronco. They have been my test pieces. Also thanks to help from Chris on fordification facebook he has a 2 inch skyjacker lift on his. He pulled his measurements, and i was able to apply them in a mockup state. Yep i;m in love.

Hard to take full pictures. 35's stock ride height.
Image

2" lift is going to be a must. Also you notice i finished the passenger side roof repair.

Image

With that known it opens me up to pull the front clip and get the front frame finished now that stance is settled!!! :woohoo:

Oh Yeah, 35" do look good on these trucks! With the 2" lift what where the measurements of the center of the axle to the bottom of the wheel wells?

So your coming in here just asking for measurements???? I've spent months researching that and you think i'm just gonna tell ya 26" front and 25" rear??? People look at you strange when you say "Nice truck mind if i take some measurements? The final thing was the surprise of how little sag my springs actually had they were pretty close minus bushings. Don't forget probably a 1/4" on the worn body bushings popeye
