Front parking brake cable
Hello all, I am in need of a front parking brake cable for a 72 f250 4x4. Can't seem to find one anywhere.
If someone happens to have one or even a part number I'd be happy. Let me know what you may have and a price. Thanks

(ignoring reply above)
Inline tube, can make one if you send them one to duplicate.

Re: Front parking brake cable
I need the whole thing. Cable was cut due to fire so I'm trying to get a part number so I can get one or I'd take a good used one. I had the number for it at one point but can't seem to find it now. Thanks for the info though

I found local wrecking yard. This is the difference 2wd vs. 4wd.[image][/image]

Re: Front parking brake cable
I got my FRONT PARKING BRAKE CABLE made for my 67 f-100 4x4 made by Control cables Inc. The cost was only 30.00 plus shipping which was way less than Inline tube. I had a sample of my original one that they used for measurements.

Re: Front parking brake cable
I did get lucky with my vintage ford parts guy here in denver. He just happened to have one, haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Just rebuilt the 205 tcase to replace the 24 with.

Re: Front parking brake cable
My parts book shows 68 up F-250 4x4 from serial # D54,001 uses a C7TZ-2853-L. Shows to be 87 and 5/16" long. I ran a search on a locator site and there doesn't show to be any available anywhere.
If you can't find one, I think I have a 71 or 72 model F-250 4x4 that should have the correct used one on it. Let me know.

Re: Front parking brake cable
Just shipped my cables to bruin brakes. Getting front and both rear made for my 72 f250 4x4 with heavy duty brakes. Once they match mine, duplicates will be available on thier site.

Re: Front parking brake cable
While rebuilding my heavy duty rear drum brakes on my '68 F-250, one of the parking brake cables was completely frozen. It was on this forum that I found Bruin. I shipped them an old cable which Greg (the Bruin guy) used to fab replacement cables for my project. Unless you're doing a $50k+ restoration, I do recommend these guys. The new cables looked great and work perfectly.
