Re: Hood fitment
One thing it maybe is that the hood hinges are sprung, does pushing down on the back corner move the hood to the correct position, if so that would be my guess.(new hinges)
If it doesn't then, you loosen the hinge bolts on the inner fender, that will allow hood to drop. If by chance you are as low as it can go then the inner fender to cowl attachment will need to be lowered but that will also lower the fender too. Make sure all associated bolts are lose on the fender to make these changes. Once you get the right height if the gap between hood and cowl needs to be changed that will be done with the hinge to hood bolts.
Good luck, can be a bit of a frustrating encounter but very doable.

Re: Hood fitment
This is always confusing. If the hood hinge bolts are all the way at the bottom, have a helper lift the hood slightly - then tighten the bolts. This lowers the back of the hinge thus lowering the back of the hood. If it needs to drop more, do it again. There is no need to drop the inner fenders

Re: Hood fitment
K i pushed down on both sides or hinges on my hood the other day. No budge. Lol.
I only weight a 130#s ...but no.movement. seemed solid.
I will do some adjusting when i get a hand to help me. Hopefully she will line up a bit better. Someone or a previous owner must have just slapped the hood on and bolted it up not caring much about how it looked.

Re: Hood fitment
Robroy's build had this issue, and he fixed it:

His before pictures look almost exactly like yours... I think it was his hinge wasn't all the way seated or something...
