Seats are not the same
Y 67 seat springs reseemble a old bed spring matress. It needs a new cushion. So i went to the jy and took the cushion out of a 74 dentside. And the dentside bottom springs are more along the line of newer trucks. Not like a matress at all. Im probably going to just have to buy a seat kit now from lmc truck. I hope the seat springs didnt change until after 73.

Re: Seats are not the same
By far one of the best upgrades I did to my 71' was to install the seat from a 79' dent into it.
Difference between night and day as far as how comfortable it was.
Am surprised they aren't close enough for the bottom covers to work / interchange though.

Re: Seats are not the same
My '71 is wearing the rear bench seat from an '89 crew cab, and I couldn't be happier. Took half an hour to switch to bump runners and it was a bolt in.

Re: Seats are not the same
It's funny my seat is different. I saw a slick today that had the same spring bottom as a 68 f600 that I looked at too.
Something I am wondering is if the seat springs was part of the ranger package my 67 has. I would think if it was a package deal. Then I should have the heavier duty seat.
