got the matching pedals in and have them fitted. the the return spring I got needs to be about a inch shorter than seven and five eighths. one that came with the pedal set happened to be longer than what could work in my truck. I have ordered some more stuff as well for this swap

here are photos of some the stuff I have acquired over the past week. I found a old new condition of what looks to be a steel flywheel. I came to a concession to get a ram hdx clutch kit that would be good enough for more power mods to the engine. I also got arp bolts for the flywheel and clutch pressure plate. I got what i believe is the correct z bar and engine side bracket, waiting on a posible frame side bracket. got a bellhousing for a truck fe and a new fork. I still need to get down to the junkyard to see if I can find a driveshaft.

found a 85 f350 cab chassis in the junkyard that had what looks to be, a driveshaft about 2-3 inches longer with a t18. I will measure out everything to see if its right later on. I got one more part that is a no show that is needed, it is the frame side z-bar bracket and was bought off someone here. I am trying to find out whats going on with it.

I conjured up some notes on the fitment of everything that is going to happen. from my observation, this shaft would have to have the carrier bearing moved around five eighths of a inch. the carrier bering could move three eighths in its slits and could be offset on the shaft a quarter, the splines would still be deep in the other shaft.

Could you possibly elongate the slots for the carrier bearing? I would think the more real estate on your splines the better.

yes I can make the adjustment slots longer and not sure how much more than 3/8 I could go without pulling it apart, I would need to know the diameter the flange on the nuts.

I finally got around to installing the t19 out, it took time to get one part and got busy. I never got the block bracket from the first person so had to find source another. been driving it for a few days and find it has a good spread with a slightly useful 1st, running higher gear would make it more useful.

Image

got the pissy c6 out and ready to install this steel ball, yes the t19 is the only thing really with new paint.

Image

here is shiny new clutch and flywheel installed.

Image

that is a lot of heavy stuff stacked up there on the back of the engine.

Image

a air bumper jack and pallet jack make light work of a steal ball, this put it where it slid right in about.

Image
Image

had to spin the cane 180* so it would not be a knuckle buster and still have room towards the bench

I had to get the front shaft shortened 1 7/8 in and 7/8 on the rear so they would fit together, Im going to deal with that low hung muffler next.

Image

i may want to try and tweak this header out more than i have.

Image

the linkage has plunty of room to play around

Image

hear is the steel ball nestled in it new home

Image

now tunnel can be buttoned up and junk can be reinserted

I got a H pipe kit so I can tuck the muffler in away form the ground, side effects are better sounding exhaust. I also have a set of turn drown tips that need installed with the hangers.
