Re: 67 F100 Door
The easiest thing to do about the windows would be to install power windows and eliminate that whole debacle. Here's a great thread with a concept I intend to go with. http://fordification.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72410 '67-'72 regulators are the same and the mid-80's regulators are available new online. As for the latch, I believe the part that bolts into the rear of the door mounts the same for '67-72 model years. I could be wrong but you should be able to adapt it if so. That only leaves the handle/release part to contend with. Why not go whole hog and install a set of door poppers as the release mechanism? The street rod crowd has a lot of modified options also. Here's one that I just googled. Not necessarily something I would do but gives you some insight into what might be involved. http://www.hotrod.com/articles/bear-jaw ... reet-rods/ A little online searching might yield more options that suit your skills/resources better.

Re: 67 F100 Door
Thank you, sargentrs.
I like the idea of upgrading to power doors and windows and the incompatibility of the door guts just makes that decision easier.
I'll start looking into my options.
Can anyone confirm that the latch parts from a 68-72 will work in 67 door shells?

Re: 67 F100 Door
The part number for the door latch itself are different and all references I can find list them as 68-72 or 1967 only. However, the basic difference between the '67 and the '68-'72, to my knowledge, is the method in which they lock. 1967 locked via the door handle, 68-72 locked via the door lock knob in the top of the door. The only way to know for sure would be to get a '68-'72 door latch and see if it bolts into your '67 shell and mates up to the door striker. If so, an aftermarket remote door latch kit should be able to actuate it. Actually, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to improvise linkage to open the '68-'72 door latch with the '67 handle. It's just a question of being able to lock your doors from the inside. Again, just guessing here.
