c6 tranny vacuum modulator

So I pulled my vacuum modulator and almost all my fluid drained out the hole, I don't believe this is normal? there was also some fluid in my modulator, is this normal?

i pulled the vacuum line off mine a few weeks ago and i had no fluid come, if that helps.

Did you have the truck lifted at an angle?

no, it was setting on all four wheels.

I had to pull my modulator off last fall. The tranny slowly dripped fluid out, but I doubt if it lost 1/4 cup over an hour. It was parked in my driveway, so at a slight incline. I don't remember if there was any fluid in the modulator itself.

On edit, there was also a plunger of some sort inside the tranny, behind the modulator. While I had the modulator off, this plunger tried to "creep" out of the hole. Could you be missing this plunger, and that's why it drained the tranny of all its fluid?

If you have fluid leaking out of the modulator vacuum nipple then it is time for a new modulator.
