I've read that the highboys have a narrower frame than the f100's. Will f100 body parts (bed, cab etc) "bolt on" to a highboy without any modifications?
By bolt on, I mean if all f100 parts were from 1967 to 1972.

Re: highboy body replacement
That's from 1973 on up.
There might be an issue with the back cab mounts , but that could be the later model too.

Re: highboy body replacement
I had a 1972 Highboy F250 that I restored. While I was on deployment overseas my them wife rolled it. Nothing could be saved. So I bought a 2wd F100 and took the cab and hood, and a F25o 2wd and took the bed and the fenders....Long story short, everything went together just fine.

Re: highboy body replacement
Core support may or maynot be different, inner fender (driver side) will be different due to location of steering box. Cab is physically the same. Watch out for the floor pan hump. Some 2wd cabs have a solid floor. Some have the panel for the floor hump.
Rear cab mounts will be different between 2wd and 4wd. You will need to punch new holes in the cab floor.
2wd rear cab mounts face inside the frame rails, 4wd face out.
Everything will fit. There are just some small differences. Check in here often, and we can help you thru it all.

Re: highboy body replacement
The only differences you will have are the rear body mounts. You'll have to drill a new hole for the mount, The location is marked in the floor.
You'll need to use the highboy fuel tank mounts to, They are different from the 2wd.
Other than that your good to go. Everything else swaps over.
