After 883,xxx+ miles...
I got a used 300. Want to rebuild it for future use. I'm putting it in place of the original 240 with over 883,xxx on it. Grand dad used it, dad used it, I used it.... Now my 393rd oldest son wants it. It is time for a mild build of the strokds big 6. Offenhauser is going on As well as a 650 Eidelbrock. No issues with the block, or head. I want it right for another 500K. I want to redo both. Metal wears, and parts degrade. Full build for a daily driver is what I want to know. Over read some much stuff it isn't funny. I don't trust rebuilders because they want MORE MONEY. 1ST REBUILD EVER. Motor is to block and head.... Nothing else.

To get a little more power out of the 300 use the 240 head and you will gain some compression as the chamber is smaller. Those 6's are great motors.
