Dash Upgrade

Post by t-waits »

I have been looking for a F600 gauge panel and have found a few scattered around my area but before purchasing is there anyone who offers a complete package with gauges and wiring in place? I have seen a few companies on line but have not found anyone offering our models.

Junk yards... I'm pretty sure the early trucks with the individual wires are plug and play, not sure about the 70 and up jobs with the ribbon harness. Either way it shouldn't be hard to graft the wiring in place.

The F600 panels are direct replacements except the tach!
Those are nice panels, but I like the style I have better:

I think the F500 Bezels look good in a base model standard cab or custom cab. I don't think I'd put them into a loaded Ranger. To Industrial looking. Maybe a Farm & Ranch Special or Contractor Special.

Do you want F500 setup or aftermarket setup. You can sometimes get lucky on Ebay and score an F500 Gauge Cluster. Just make sure the gauges look good "needles can be faded but not the lettering". Not a lot of rust. Make sure the wire harness is intact no cut wires. Make sure the bezel has not been altered "holes drilled" Look at pictures real well before bidding. Real easy to restore with patience. Very simple wiring modifications. I've done several of these setups. On average $100 to $150 bucks before restore. Over $150 better be a perfect cluster. If you do get one search out some of my posts to come up with a plan. http://fordification.com/forum/viewtopi ... e+clusters
