Sunvisor painting question

Post by mstpn2 »

Can i spray paint the white sunvisors in my bump? I have some black rustoleum paint, would like to paint the sunvisors, plastic mounts and the center piece that holds both metal ends when the sunvisors are in "home" position. Just want to make sure this paint will adhere and not look like complete garbage. Thanks for any input!

I would recommend some vinyl and fabric paint for that application. Available at any parts store. Multiple light coats is preferable and keep your distance to avoid runs. As for the center piece, scuff it with some ScotchBrite and use enamel. Make sure all surfaces are degreased and dry.

I painted mine white to black. Cleaned them with TSP purchased at any hardware/home improvement store. As Sarge mentioned, use vinyl spray paint. They turned out great.
