A 68 custom cab named Earl

Hello! I'm from north Idaho, just picked up a 68 f100 about 3 weeks ago and this forum has been answering alot of the questions I've had about it since picking it up. My first vehicle was a 79 f100 custom and I've missed it for the last 18 years. It had a 390 with an edelbrock intake, carter 650 carb, hooker headers that was mated up to a c6 with a floor selector. The 68 has a tired 360 with a 3 on the tree manual transmission.



Since buying it I've picked up a few parts that I'll need for the direction I want to go with this one..



There was an 07 grand marquis at pull and save with 87k on the clock and this was still in it! Took about 1.5hrs and cost $138 compared to Spalding wanting $650 for one on a pallet ready to go.



The wheels are 17x8 Mach 1 Heritage wheels I just got off of Craigslist for $300

I plan on getting an Explorer rear end with disc brakes and flipping it in order to match the front end lowering.

holy moly nice start to what im sure is going to be a great project...
btw i noticed youve got the 2 mount wets coast mirrors. if you plan on going to smaller mirrors on the truck, pm me w info on what you want for them. i've got a 1-ton that i plan to tow with and am looking for those type mirrors.
