New dude! got a couple questions.

Hi, I recently bought a 1967 f100 short wheel base ranger field find. I bought this truck thinking it was a chopped and shortened long wheelbase standard cab with fake ranger trim. Upon closer inspection its a all original unmolested short wheel base ranger. I bought this truck for resale originally, intending to do a frame swap to a much newer f150 and sell it as a resto-mod. BUT after 20+ years of sitting I was able to unstick the engine, the transmission shifts freely, the brakes work well enough and it has perfect **patina**. I am used to mustangs and by my understanding a short wheel base ranger is equivalent to a GT mustang in terms of collectability. So long story short, I want to know how much my truck is worth running and driving, with nothing changed to it. I don't usually ask questions like this but I cant find any legitimate price data for a truck like this. So i thought maybe I could get some help from the people on this forum

Depends... "running and driving" can mean different things qualitatively.

Collectibility? Not really.. desirability yes simply because there are fewer shortbeds and they are more "sporty".

I say buyers will pay a 60 to 75 percent premium for a shorted over a long bed, ceteris paribus.

I mean the bare minimum of running and driving, the only thing the engine really needs is new valves and gaskets, the cylinders weren't what youd expect from something sitting for 20 years, might not even need new rings , brakes are fairly sketchy but they stop the truck when rolling off the trailer just fine, still trying to decide what direction to take this project in, leaning towards selling this one and getting into something i can modify, hence the value question

I'm in CA and would pay up to $2500 for a builder but it better just be tired and not all crashed and hacked.
