Did some reading on sway bars as CraigerF100 suggested. Ordered them today from NPD, ADDCO front & rear.

Re: Dad's new 72
Got back to it today. My son & nephews got the front sway bar installed.
The rear does not look right I will need to call Addco Monday. Added some tie downs inside the bed. I will be having a bedliner put in.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Dad's new 72
I am really enjoying following your build progress. One thing I did on an 87 F-150 I had was paint the upper manifold black. It looked a little too boring for me so I went back and milled the paint off of the lettering. It really gave it a nice look in my opinion. Keep up the great work.

Re: Dad's new 72
Shortstack I agree with you on the letters, but have not got around to it yet. But today my Br. in law came over to help put the bed on, and made short work it. Looks way better.
Craigerf100 thanks for your pics got my rear swaybar installed.
Moved over the rear end vent by welding the original hole & drilling & tapping a new one 7/16x20 thread.

Re: Dad's new 72
Also before I got the bed on I completed the fuel lines. 3/8 in SS with AN fittings.
My Daughter helped me on Saturday. We had a good time together. She even did a little welding & grinding. We welded the rear sway bracets together so it cannot slip out. May of been overkill, but only took a minute.
With factory 91 f150 fuel filter slightly modified the filter bracket.
Used the blue fittings for the feed and black for return, did not plan that but they did not have enough black, worked out good I think. My Daughter helped me on Saturday. We had a good time together. Also got the spare put on. I wanted it in place before I take it to the exhaust shop.
Couple pictures with the bed on.

Hey looks good SSw glad I could help on the rear sway bar. Didn't think about welding the brackets together. And your daughter is very pretty, you raised her right if she's welding with her pop. You should win some awesome dad award for that . Welp keep the truck build pics coming

Re: Dad's new 72
Craigerf100 thanks for the kind words. I have 3 wonderful daughters (thankfully they look like their Mother) & 1 son.
Been too busy at work, not much time to work on the truck. But I get to the driveshaft measured. I should get it picked up this week and get it installed. I did remove the carrier bearing and am going with a one piece driveshaft. The E4OD is definitely longer than the C-4.

Been too busy at work not enough home time But have made a little progress, got the driveshaft in
Rear bumper on with trailer hookup & Rigid LED's
Got the doors, front end on, added solenoids for Power door locks, also got the fuel filler all connected
Been searching for the correct bedside emblem. Finally came to the conclusion I need 1 year only "Explorer" emblems. This is after I bought new DC "Custom" emblems, then nice used "Sport-Custom", then looked at the VIN and VIN decoder on this cool site to figure out I have an Explorer. I did find some, hopefully they are not too bad.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Dad's new 72
Finally cooling off a little so I can get back to work. Need to get it done and move on to my other projects. My 1956 Oval window VW with air ride & 2110. Also my son's 1998 Ranger Pre-runner. Anyway found some of the little parts I have been looking for, thanks to http://www.flashbackf100s.com. Got the door handles on, steering column almost back together, and have the dash cluster almost ready to go in. Except I bought a new (used) Temp gauge but the studs are too short?? It says it was a 69 F100. Anybody seen different stud length. The one I got has about 9/16", I need 7/8". The plastic housing has the standoffs & does not let the studs make it through to the back. 72 must be different than 69. I do not have my old one, or at least I cannot find it. It was falling apart.

Re: Dad's new 72
Adding a cup-holder from a 1996 F150. I had to do a little trimming, added a switch for the power door locks (I did not want to cut the door panels). Also adding a USB/Aux input jack for the stereo. Spayed it with the plastic dye. It matched the leather pretty good.
Used the mounting screws from the 1996 F150, needed a M6 tap. The cup-holder placement matches the trans tunnel which is not centered. So it is off center from the stitching.
Retrosound Amp/Subwoofer going under the seat.
