Hunka was up and running but had a snag after a few days of driving a foreign shim /washer inside the injection pump previous to my purchase found it's way up to the governor springs and bent one of the studs. Has to be sent off for repair along with some upgrades and flow test and paper work. Here it sits, hopefully going in another 2 weeks. Image

Also came across a banks dual ram intake, fits perfect with my hydrobooster. The 24v single horn was rubbing.

Here is the pump removed and the culprit of the down time. Image

Also took part in the Black Friday deals and ordered an Artec Dana 60 axle truss for a little later when I swap to the coilovers and radius arms. Image

Pump back on and a dual scroll exhaust housing. Spools up a little quicker. Dual intake all buttoned up. I've been daily driving it, only prob is staying out of the skinny pedal! :woohoo:

Been a while since the last post. I've been Daily driving Hunka, so much better than the 460 in every way. He got a cheap makeover to get by for a bit. Image

Yeah, Bump U joints are dinky. I went with 3.5" ones when I went with the 10.25 Ford rear and 47rh.

Nice face lift. When you are driving with a light foot, have you calculated or at least estimated the MPG's you are getting?

Agreed, I'll be upsizing the yoke off the 205 to the sterling 10.25 when I do my swap also.

Sorry haven't taken any mileage readings as my speedo is not operational and I haven't hooked up a 12v plug for a gps yet. Just bare bones and I'm not sure if there is ever a trip I don't give into the temptation of mashing the throttle and rowing gears. :D I can say it definitely gets better mileage than my 06 megacab with a common rail cummins.

Hunka got some new shoes, the Los KM2's were dry rotted and vibrating pretty bad. Found a set of almost new toyo MUDs on rims for a deal so had to take Them. Not much else but it gets driven regularly and waiting on more funds.

Just a quick update. Was daily driving the crew till I had some knocking going on. Ended up being a stretched stock rod bolt and egged a rod, so tore the engine out for a full rebuild with ARP studs and rod bolts this time. While that is out I figured now was a good of time as any to upgrade the front end with the trussed Dana60 and add the Cage radius arms with some King 14in coilovers. So this is how it sits now, redoing the steering and building and few other mounts for things. The 79 Dana60 that I found to truss was half shaved so was a great candidate for this swap. My old 60 is being donated to my sons 70 highboy cummins conversion, he had a blast tearing that apart!

I was wondering what happened to this truck! I still have pictures of it saved on my phone. Are you planning on doing some crazy wheeling with that giant axle truss and coil overs? Great job by the way.

I have been known to "use" my vehicles a bit.lol No reason to not be prepared for the worst. With the added weight of the Cummins and 6 speed I just wanted a little more beef and have been wanting a little smoother and adjustable ride that I can better achieve with the coilovers up there. I think when this phase is done I'll be 4 linking the rear, at that point I can decide if I'm gonna stay short bed or go w the longbed :D Thanks for following along, sometimes seems like I hear crickets on these threads.

Love the color you went with on your truck. Crew cabs with long beds are long as trains. I guess you've done everything else on this truck to the max tho haha

460 crew wrote:Figured I'd start a threat for the crew as i went back through all th posts and only found a threat I started about the wiper upgrade. So here it is, or where I'll start the slow process of few additions to my current crew up until I have my other cab ready for a swap.

This week I had a day off because of high winds so I decided to take advantage by mounting a set of 2005 F150 seats in the crew. I have to say I belive this is the best addition yet, it make the truck feel totally different in just the ride alone! Pics are on here http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k51/Crewzin70/
and here are just a couple.

Very nice truck/ post. Do u have any pics of seats and how they mount to the floor? I just completed a similar install in my 77 and feel the seats sit a bit high. Id like to see how you installed so I may "steal" your idea.

Thanks.
