Village Idiot UP!
Good Morning!
Originally out of Nebraska, got a Husker Red Ford waiting there on a farm for me. (And that's the Good Life.)
I'm planning on buying a 1968 F250 4 speed and I know next to nothing about engines/cars/ whatever of the sort. However, I do a mean oil change. I'm convinced I have the time now to learn enough about the engine and drive train that when it comes time for me to go get the truck I'll at least have some idea of what I'm doing when I go and try to work on it. My biggest priority right now is just understanding what's were on the 240/300 i6 motors because I'm pretty sure Ruby there's got one of the two under the hood. Any insight on anything related to the truck would be appreciated, any time.
Looking forward to learning!

Re: Village Idiot UP!
Welcome from a fellow Husker. I wonder how Riley will do his first year. We'll see.
I hate to tell you this, but that is not a 1968 Ford. It is one generation before our trucks, which run from '61-'66. I do not know enough about them to tell you from looking at the photo exactly which year it is, though.
There is a forum similar to this one for those trucks:

Good luck with your project!

Re: Village Idiot UP!
Welcome first.
As to the year of the truck, the grille and the emblems on the front fenders indicate it's a 1965.
But it does have a '67 and newer style front bumper. Later bumpers bolt on to 64-66 trucks even though they are correct for 1967+ years.
