New to the forum. I have been the owner of a 1971 F100 Stepside since I was 16. It was a family truck handed down to me after I got my license. I rebuilt the engine, 302, replaced the brakes, swapped a Bronco tank between the frame rails so I could drive it through school. Gas went up, I had kids and the little truck got parked. Now my oldest is about to turn 16 and it time dad breaks out the truck to drive again. It needs a new engine and I plan a transmission swap. I need the economy of an OD that the original 3 on the tree cannot provide. I have enjoyed the forums so far and look forward to documenting my truck's transformation.
