wow dude that is awesome!

i've done some casting using other's foundries but i'd love to build my own... do you have a website or blog with your casting projects?

i bit the bullet and bought some oil bond sand a few years ago and have used and reused that. Its fabulous... you'll never be able to go back to greensand after that.

I do not have a blog but will answer any questions you have or if your just down to swap ideas about casting I'd listen all day long. I have a small furnace I built on my property.

As far as getting this thing to daily driver, I replaced the crappy single carb generic chrome air cleaner and slapped on a stock bronco housing then piped it to get cooler air. will test drive tomorrow but I guarantee it will breath better.

My steering stabilizer will arrive on Monday and as soon as that is installed It'll be my daily, its a bit too squirrely right now though everything is replaced and new, it still drives like a early 70's ford truck... nuff said? 8)

let us know how the steering stabilizer goes. I'm pretty happy with my handling after replacing all my tie rods and doing a quicky diy alignment, but it still turns like a 50 year old truck, not sure that it is going to get much better without power steering

The steering stabilizer makes for a tremendous improvement in overall road handling, all my bushings are new up front but I still had a slight wander going down the road. I can take my hands off the wheel now and it will drive without correcting for small road bumps and grooves.. My truck has no power steering but since I've done the kingpins and bushings its fairly easy to steer. I would recommend this as an upgrade to anyone looking to improve the way there truck drives down the road.
