Are you getting ready to do it to it?

Welcome back! I too have rejoined the ranks here recently. My truck is at the shop and parts start coming off this week. I'll race ya to see which of us gets back behind the wheel of a finished truck first.

Re: Two years later.....and go.
Im going to do a total restoration. It does run but everything needs rebuilt Front Clip is off, beds off, and cabs next to come off. I'm not in any rush, and i already have a head start on you so no races here, but sorry you already lost
What would you like pictures of? i might have some.
My goal is to have bare frame to work on for the fall/ winter.
Going to sandblast it all and i want a decent paint job on the blasted frame instead of por15 over rust, just my preference.
First off here's my buddy.

Chassis fits right between dolly

Front clip off, notice the 10lbs of Grease scraped off maybe ill get good gas mileage with this much removed

Interior need attention as well, hard to believe one gallon to pull out and one gallon to go back in the garage

Re: Two years later.....and go.
Decided on pulling the cab today so i gathered up the stuff and dug in. I had the steering collum and everything else that was attatched between the frame and cab removed already. i knew it'd be a full day so did all prepwork before it was cab removal day. Emergency brake cable was the only thing holding as i lifted but wasn't a problem once it freed up so i could pull it through.
I built two 8' wide saw horses for the cab so now i can roll chassis in and out of garage
Wish i had a shop but 1.5 garage will have to do for now.
Sure was front heavy but luckily i didnt have to move very far. I was able to notch out my 2x4x8 that was splined onto 2x6x8 to allow 5/16 chain to have a groove in it so no sliding back and fourth. I also put a 3'' screw in the link that centered in the groove. I ended up putting insulation board in between the chain and roof. worked out really well.
