Little bit about myself, im 17 going into senior year in early September, usually dreaming in class about all the cool projects id wish to have work on and enjoy.... I personally havnt every been very "branded" with old vehicles, like mid 80's and under, ill take whatever, my truck just happened to show up, and i bought it (ill talk about it later). I like all kinds of vehicles! Large or small cars, 4 or 10 cylinders, crew cab or single, carbbed or efi, lowered or lifted, ratty or show truck, i dont care, and most of all i can appreciate someones hard work even if it might be goofy looking...
My dad nut and bolt restored a '69 rag top lemans in the 80's-90's and sold it a few years after he completed it. I live in the finger lakes region of new york since i was like 5, and we have a 2 bay garage, nothing fancy here! Sure we have more tools then the average, and some specialty tools not many have, like pullers engine hoists, torque wrench, average gear head spot.
I got the truck in june for $1K across town from a redneck and brought it home with some hot rodding things in mind. Its 2wd so i wasnt going to lift it. I knew about the hole gas monkey deal, so i thought a lowered f100 with new drivetrain would be sweet, so thats the direction. Truck has rot in the pans, mounts, and bed, but otherwise its straight. Musta been a heavy duity tow package, its got a 9", c6, and 360, witch was the main reason i got it. He just re did all the brakes on it so i felt a little bad taking all that off.... a little.
