Finally got back in the garage again this week and finished the frame notch. Section is boxed and fully welded.

Let the fun begin! Be sure and post up when you start that wiring harness. That's in my near future too. Looking good!

Couldn't pass up a good Craigslist deal...I bought a set of Crown Vic steel wheels for $100!! Tires are half decent on them too...

You still have quite a bit of weight you will be adding to the nose. You might want to wait until you have it completely assembled before dropping it any more. All depends on where you want it to sit.

Re: Marvin 2....1970 SWB Resto
Thanks guys! I am definitely going to wait until the front is assembled and the bed is back on before making any changes to the ride height. I found a site that sells crown vic drop springs, so I may go that route if needed.

Re: Marvin 2....1970 SWB Resto
I can't believe its been so long since I've done an update...I think its even more depressing to think about how little I've accomplished.
Here are some updates:
Bought a rebuilt 302 from a buddy. Small cam, 4 barrel, shorty headers. I painted up an air cleaner to match:
I revisited my work on the front end. I welded in spacers for the IFS brackets and then boxed in the front frame rails:
I fabricated some shock mounts for the rear axle:
I am so close to being done with the frame / suspension part of this build. I hate that it has taken so long, but I am happy with what I've done so far. I need to drill and final bolt the rear crossmember (behind the gas tank), I just have it set in place at the moment. I need to weld the differential leaf spring perches in place as well. Once I have everything done, I plan on wheeling the frame outside for a cleaning and some touch-up paint.
I'll try to keep some momentum this time....
