My latest acquisition. You say to yourself "Big deal tail light lenses". These are '64-'66 Styleside lenses. They are the same lens as a bump but lack the white backup area. We shall see how the old bump looks all red.

No backup lights. My truck is pretty illegal for the road but most of it goes unnoticed. No wipers, no rear bumper. I had made a list of all the "wrongs" for the state of IN when I lived there. Now I am in states that require a front plate so add that to the list.sargentrs wrote:Cool! But what to do about back up lights? I thought about putting some in my rear bumper but I kinda hate to carve holes in my brand new chromed one.
But, you're gonna take and post pictures, right??elgemcdlf wrote:After looking at the two threads on chopping the top here I will say I am not following either route. I am going to cut mine right in the middle of the windows. The rear pillar of the cab grows in width as it climbs. I plan on cutting the upper portion off the back of the cab about 4" in. I will then narrow it as needed and weld it back in.
I am leaning towards using a slick hood as a donor roof panel. I will turn it around so the front of the hood is the rear of the cab. The windshield pillars will remain at the same angle. The only issue now is cut down the wing windows or go to a one piece door glass.
