67 F100 Ranger C/S "Cuz"

Post by 67_ford_f100 »

Hey All! Figured it would be about time to start a thread for my project "Cuz", She is a 1967 Ford F100, camper Special, Ranger. Started out life in Greenwood, Delaware bought new in early 1968. She was just a family camper/Work Truck until 1997 when it was parked behind the original owners house. Skip forward about 16 years to when I bought her in 2013, she had flat tires all around, with the camper that was rotted out, and looked green from all the mold that covered her. We "Stole" Her for $600, when wee brought it home, It was time to get working.... We cleaned her off, filled up the radiator and threw in a new battery, And then cranked her over for the first time in 16 years (Probably not the best idea) she wouldn't start due to the fact that the carburetor needed to be rebuilt and a few other odds and ends. I rebuilt the Carb the next weekend, and got a thermostat from Auto-Zone, and with a little bit of help from starting fluid, she started right up. So at this point I needed a lot of parts to get her on the road. She was moved about 30 minuites away to my new house, (Trailered Sadly) Where she sat for about 9 months while I tried to find a radiator. About 1 month after it was moved, I found a Radiator, that was supposed to be fir my year truck, but the mounting brackets were not correct, so that was brought back and returned.... Finally about 2 weeks ago, I picked up a radiator out of a 79 ford That Fit for some reason in my 67, And a set of wheels.

Looking forward to seeing her! When you start a post, there's a tab under the box that says "upload attachment". Click that, click "browse", select the photo, then click "add the file". If its over 500kb, you'll have to resize it to make smaller. That puts the photo at the bottom of your post. You can also click in the middle of your post and click "place inline" and it'll insert the photo in the middle of your post. You can also use an internet album like Photo bucket using these directions http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 19&t=60087

Look forward to following along. What motor u have? I did a 65 CS years back, pulled the 352, built a 67 T-Bird 390 and dropped it in. Have fun on your project.

Got a 352, someone told me the engine was a POS so I decided to build it up. Prove them wrong.

Been A While, not many updates, Got the brakes (Cab Forward) Completely rebuilt, finishing installing all the new brake parts for the rear over the weekend. If all goes well I will hopefully get the tank pulled and cleaned also. Possibly even start it! Anyone got any "Easy/Fast" Ways of getting the gas tank empty? (Got half a tank filled of 18 year old gas) I tried pumping it out (Thru the Inlet) with a manual pump, But that didn't work.

Thanks

I have not pulled my tank yet, but it appears you could just pull the tank out of the cab and dump it in a suitable container.
Project sounds fun. How much rust are you going to contend with on the cab and elsewhere.
