These are self adhesive backed aluminum nameplates made to the same quality and specs. as any of the existing 70-72 Ford truck cowl inserts found listed on my web site http://www.onceuponapart.com These are currently made to fit the original OEM cowl bases (DOTB 16720 A - 2 pin) found on the 70, 71 and 72 Ford pickups. With slight trimming these can also easily be made to fit the factory glove box base ( C5GB 16098 A - 3 pin) found on selected 67 - 72 Ford trucks. Depending upon the used base availability of each buyer I decided to make these at the longer length for the exterior cowl bases and will trim upon request to fit the glove box base. Either base style could work in either location with at most just slight modification to the mounting areas and or base pins.
These will only be offered in the black / silver color combination as shown and I currently have a limited number available that are ready to ship. Once I get a feel for the demand I will produce more and can have in a very short amount of time. These are available for the same price as my others at $15.00 each + ship or $30.00 pair + ship with the exception of me making a $5.00 per emblem donation from each sale to FORDification. These are very nice looking inserts. At Freds show in MO I sold a set of the crewcab special inserts to a fellow restoring a crew bump. They all look very nice and should last for many years. Great to see people doing small parts for these old trucks!

Wow, I like these. While I am not going to run them on the outside of the truck, I will have no problem sticking one of these on the glovebox inside the truck!!

I will mock it up on the glovebox door when I get it. I am going to need to sand and paint the glovebox door first, but will put a photo of the door up with the emblem on in this thread when I get it and it is done. Should only be a few days.

Cool, I'm thinking I'll do the same when I tackle repainting the dash black. I'll use this decal to replace the ranger decal on there now. That would be cool.

UPS tracking says mine will be here tomorrow. So if I can get the time after work this week to get the glove box door cleaned and painted up, then I will get some photos of the emblem installed and put them here in the thread.

Got the package yesterday and prepped and painted my glovebox door with the emblem holes so I could mount these up. Here is the final product. These things are awesome!




They are very high quality and look exactly like the stock cowl and glove box emblems Ford had back in the day.

The emblem is a metal decal that sticks in either the cowl or glove box emblem base. You could stick it on anything you want I suppose, but mine is placed in the chrome emblem base. Mark at onceuponapart.com probably has some more bases for sale as well if you need one. He also has the template to drill your glovebox door if you dont already have the holes.

What you see in my pictures is 3 things... The door, the emblem base, and the emblem affixed to the base.

Got the other glove box door painted and put together. Here it is installed in CNM67's truck so you can see how it would look mounted in the cab. It really carries the chrome across the dash and looks better than the solid color glove box that was there before.
