Any more going on with this build it looks good. I am doing something similar but not a 4x4.
You were asking about the brake setup on the 69 to the 70. are they different from one to another. I know one is drums and one is disks. But are the brackets a easy swap?

The brakes are a non-issue for me. I'll have 1989 F350 brakes. And I have no clue how easy of a swap it is.

If you run the 89 f350 booster i think i will hit your valve covers on your big block. Here is mine with the half ton booster and it was with in a 1/2" and the f350 one is bigger around and deeper. but all it takes is re drilling your bracket and cutting the rod off your original setup and the rod off the new booster 3/8 die, 3/8 rod coupling and 2, 3/8 nuts. If you can swing the money head down to your wrecking yard and get a hydro boost of an 99-04 super duty same mods to the rod and re drill your bracket and your set also get the non cruse mc. I haven't updated in a while, but here is a mini update.

I bought some airshocks for the rear suspension. Will be a 4 link with 16"x2.5" airshocks, Sway-A-Way to match the front coilovers.


Got the front end sitting on bumpstops and the 42s.


Bought a bunch of tubing, and decided to backhalf the thing. Chop-chop! Cut the frame off right behind where the cab is. Will hopefully start bending up the tube this weekend and getting things welded together.


Dropped the cab in place, so I can bend up the tube to follow the lines of the cab.

Moving into a house with a garage makes things a LOT easier. I can do a little bit everyday now, instead of it having to be a major event!

Understand brother... My previous house I had a nice shop to play in. Now I'm renting a shop with a buddy. A lot more room but not very convenient... Congrats on the new house!!!

Trying my hand at bending tube. Got the B-pillar bent up. Actually didn't screw it up. Was a VERY successful first try. Just need to notch it, and get it tack welded in place. From there, I've gotta start bending up the rest of the backhalf. No plan at all. Totally winging it.

A little more progress on the tube work. Slow and steady. The pieces I have done so far have pretty damn complex bends. Hopefully I can get all the complex ones finished up slowly over this week, the throw together all the easy stuff next week.
