Ha, I fixed my flashers recently with the same thought.

Thought about this thread this week when, driving back from a nearby city on the freeway, I passed a broke down bumpside that was on the other side. Hood up, looked to be a 71' from the grill, pretty tired and beat, I think there were a couple of guys heads under the hood. Can't recall the last time I saw a bumpside broken down, so clearly they NEVER break down! Right???

Nice to hear from younger guys like motzinng who are into these old beastly pickups.

Nope just a 27 year old country boy who grew up with the idea that the ultimate truck had to be a 65-72 f250 4x4. My first truck was my uncles 72' f100 it was trashed and hashed but I loved it. Just thought if this thing is this great how awesome could a 3/4 ton 4x4 be.....

Motzzing has a way with words for certain. He makes me feel like I am commiting a sin that my 67' is currently inop and waiting in line is lists of things to do.

Good thread going here. Gives the feel good vibe about owning an old truck, hot rod, anything of the like. So many people now want to say that we are outcasts for trying to work on a old vehicle and drive it that we are just determined to destroy the earth with our machines. For some reason I look at a prius the same way they look at me in a old truck. however I know what kind of environmental manufacturing disaster a prius is......

As for howdy glad you found a old school parts store near you that can help you out. I have a place called white brothers right around the corner from me. Love it walk into a place with an old white and black tile floor the guys all call you by first name as they drink coffee and smoke cigarettes. They know there parts and don't bother trying to sell you piddly junk. Rod (the manager) always says if you want a air freshener go hit one of the other guys stores if you want some parts to fix something come see me! He is right! So as for the 69 CS how has things been going running it??
