Highboy fuel tank
Have my 32 gal Aero fuel tank up 4 sale. This is the tank that fits in the frame rails where your spare tire would be cradeling the last crossmember. Comes with the sending unit that works with our gauges and filler neck that has been fixed. If you have read up on these tanks the filler neck is positioned at the wrong angle to clear the frame when you get the tank from aero. This tank is plumbed for a return line for fuel injection options also. New hoses will b required as the old ones were brittle upon removal. 450 obo

Re: Highboy fuel tank
I like the idea of the tank and even the idea of perhaps eliminating the tank in the cab with this tank, but I was wondering were does the filler neck come out at? Do you have to cut a hole in the bed somewhere to mount the filler tube? Does the filler tube route in between the frame and bed? Sorry for all the questions, I just trying to get a clear picture of how it mounts, thanks.

Re: Highboy fuel tank
Yes between the bed and frame, there is a small window for the hoses to pass through into the fender well. Some opt to mount the filler in the well itself, I didn't like that figuring it would get caked with mud or other debris. I ran an elbow off the hose up to a setup I stole off my 95 f150 step side bed and mounted in in the bed. Yes it could have been grafted to the outside body like normal but this was a quick fix and worked. At that time I had no metal skills and didn't wan to mess with the body.
Let me know if you want any more pics, the black radiator hose is just representation of where the routing was.the tank was mounted with 1/2 spacers under the mounting ears to make it fit just right, this was after my dad and I cut the filler neck out and reworked it to fit. I was bummed when I got a brand new tank and had to fix it. I have read on other forums that Aero has since fixed the problem on the tanks they are currently producing.

Re: Highboy fuel tank
Tpdaniels,
Aero's site is showing close to 200 to ship from them ups. USPS May be a little cheaper, I'll measure and weigh it and see what kinda quote they have online tomorrow.

Thanks for checking, I would like to make an offer but prefer to know shipping so I would know total. When you get shipping cost send me a PM and we will see if we can find a total price we both will be happy with.460 crew wrote:Tpdaniels,
