After a year of researching, multiple posts asking crazy questions (and thanks for all of the info), and trying this and that, I'm finally back on the road and feel like a kid at Christmas. Hoping to get the paint and body done next spring if everything else is wrapped up by then. I bought this truck about three years ago as a project/cool beat around vehicle and enjoyed driving it locally for about 2 years. Last summer I converted to front disc brakes after finding a 1973 donor truck in the scrap yard. Last Fall I sold the tired 390 and 3 speed transmission and now have a 68 ranger powered by a 1991 5.0 attached to a 1998 3.8 Mustang 5 speed transmission. Only had time for a couple of short trips but its been a blast to drive. Hoping to add a/c, drop the rear to level it out, otherwise no other major changes.
