Tomorrow it's time to paint the leaf springs, put it back together and press the new bushings in there

Re: Ford f100 1970 resto after crash
Great job what your doing there takes a lot of dedication.
Just a tip that was given to me when I first started welding in panels for rust repair or to shave holes like your stake holes in the bed rails. Cut your filler pieces smaller than what you're doing. Leave a gap around all sides don't cut them tight so they are touching or so close that you can't get weld in to the gaps. The pics showing the panel after you've ground off the surface weld you can see the line around the filler panel. After grinding it should look like one piece of sheet metal.
Looking forward to following your progress.

Re: Ford f100 1970 resto after crash
i don't know why i did it like that, i wasn't thinking because i know i need a small gap between the welds...
later on i bought clips for the gap, went a lot better!
thanks for the tip!
chassis is finished, i am working in south america at the moment, so the sandblasting and paint has to wait.
putting some wait on the axle for the angle of the engine

Looking good.
Those panel clamps are great, right. I just buy the cheapy HF ones and grind them thinner because they are too thick.

Re: Ford f100 1970 resto after crash
I realize the rear springs are assembled the way they were taken off the truck but it looks like the overload spring is on top of the spring pack and not on the bottom of the pack like it is supposed to be. Just doesn't seem right.
