I'm looking for info on coil springs to lift a 72 F100 short bed 1.5 to 2 inches. My biggest concerns are ride quality and not durability. I don't plan on four wheeling much with the truck. I installed 2.5" lift coil springs from Rough Country and the ride is horrible, need to change them. Currently looking at 2" lift coils from Skyjacker. Any input would be appreciated.

Re: What coil springs to lift 72 F100 4X4 1.5" to 2"
I used a set of 5 +1/2" lift springs for an early Bronco on a full size '79 Bronco and these gave a 2-3 inch lift and a good ride.
I wanted a little lift because I had a snowplow on it, but a soft ride.
I think they came from James Duff , they're a variable rate spring .
It's been over 8 years and the top coils are compressed but it still handles the plow well.
In the old days the cheap lift for a Bronco was F100 springs, you would gain about 2 inches.
So I used the 5 +1/2 s and have been happy.

I"ve got the Skyjacker 2" lift springs on mine. Ride is good and they were just about perfect leveling the truck.
Old skool fool....
