Got the Differential housing cleaned up enough to start painting! Had to wait until the tornado passed, though!

U-joints in the axles were rusty and gritty, so decided to replace them since they are out. I tried using my Ball joint press since it has attachments toe press ujoints out. Hit it with mi impact wrench and boom, it stopped dead. Tried my 12 ton press, and couldn't get them to budge with moderator pressure. Put in a vice and heated....no avail. I ended up putting them back in the press figuring if it damages the flanges to get the ujoint out just about every other method would probably damage it as well. Long story short, the Ujoints came out, in little bitty bits and many loud noises! Thank od for a press! I would never have gotten them out any other way! Axles look fine as well in comparison!
