Okay, so the photos are still locked for awhile but the work didn't stop.. I got my drivers exhaust manifold swapped for one that exits out the bottom to clear the linkage, resurfaced my flywheel and I'm on hold again waiting for my clutch kit..
This is the correct drivers manifold.. the other one exits the back
I should call this the rusty resto because I am NOT cleaning or repainting anything..

Back on it!
Going
Going
Gone!
Or done...
Getting close
This is why I wasn't so concerned about the gap between the bed and cab

Playing around with a few of the accessories
The PO cut a terrible hole for a CD player.. mine is barely hanging in because the hole is oversize.. ill fix it later on
Got the light sorted out
Got my mirrors mounted as well

Okay, back to it.. for some reason ford made the thread sizes different on the knuckle that mounts in the back of the motor for the linkage between the v8 and I6 .. tracked one down locally luckily.. but finally got all the linkage finished!
Returning a few more parts home..
Yes, in ALL my fords the alternator gets pitched for a 1 wire AC delco!
Closer! Damn I forgot how fun putting a hood on alone is!!
Ignore the hood ornament
Now I'v got to find my lost dizzy brain harness..... the distributor will soon be the next thing to get replaced with a electronic dizzy..

6 hours later I have the dam wiring fixed .. The underside of this dash has been raped by the PO.. after rerouting wires that were too short, connected with electrical tape and rewiring the entire ignition system I got it cranking with the flick of a key and push of a button..
