Just though I would say hi. Owned an old 72 Sport Custom back in 83 and now recenctly purchased a 1971 F-100 Custom 4x4 LB. I've been cruising the site for months now knowing I was going to buy one soon so finally made it... I know I'm going to have a bunch of questions as time goes by and have done my best to research the site so as not to ask whats already been posted. I look forward to chatting with folks. And just to let anyone know who has a 71, I purchased the factory manuals and wiring diagrams on paper so don't hesitate to ask if you need something sent.

I'll post up some pics when I figure out how to. Had to have neck surgery two days after I picked her up. Had her shipped to WV from a dealer in NV who got her from someone in OR. For now just reading all I can of what you all put on here. Great site, great people and when I am allowed to lift more than 5lbs (two or three months they say) I'll be workin on her.
Oh yea, just a quick story of our ride home from the pick up spot in MD. She fired right up to my surprise (coming from 6500ft to sea level) and we took of for a 80 mile ride. Steering box was shot but she did well until we got to the mountain, well, hill 1500ft we live on. My boy was following in his 05 F250 I got him for graduation....maybe a little too close for my trucks liking, and he noticed he was getting something on his windshield that was just smearing. So we get home, find out she blew her rear diff seal and he just looked at me and laughed. Said something about new trucks and all that stuff youngsters like to say to their elders when they think they know something. I just turned around and told him......Shes a good solid truck, been around a lot longer than you and yours and all she was doin was markin her territory and letting your 05 know who the NEW boss is going to be. Gave him a pat on the back, her a pat on the tail gate and went inside.
