69 f100 project in progress
I'm currently working on a 69 f100 swb and I have a 460 ready to drop on my cv swap but looking to get a 8.8 to have a matching bolt pattern. my question is what would be a ideal gear ratio for the 460/c6?

All depends on tire size. I was happy with 3.08s but had short tires. I have 3.55s now & slightly taller tires. Ideal is a relative term. What is your definition of ideal?

I would think anything in the 3.08-3.55 range would be just fine. Good acceleration along with decent top end. I am not thinking about mileage. If that is more important then move to a higher ratio.

I would sacrifice mileage any day for acceleration. she will be driven daily, plus I live 3 miles from where I work. Thank you for your help elgemcdlf !!!
