76 f250 open knuckle 44 axle shaft interchange

I picked up a 76 yesterday ($550) for the divorced 205 and spare drivetrain parts for my 72. The drivers side axle joint exploded in the past and took out the yokes. Does any one know specifically what axle shafts will interchange? I have 78 cherokee chief widetrack axles laying around (haven't measured). Curious about spline count etc. I would like to swap it in for the disc brakes till I can luck in to a high pinion 60. Thanks

76-79 F-250 4x4 axleshafts interchange. Probably not going to get a match with your Jeep stuff and the Jeep axles probably use smaller U-joints.

I probably have some shafts for those axles. I know I have some Moser chromoly ones from a 79 HP axle I retubed for a Yota.

Thanks for the response guys. That's a great link to the 44 info. The cherokee chief is close but no cigar, same u-joint, diameter and spline count inners too long outers too short. I'll keep looking at the chart to see if any other vehicle is compatible. Thanks again
