Re: Chronicles of the Blue Goose!
That doesnt sound like the same glass packs you were running before. Did you change the exhaust setup? If so, what are you running now?
Sounds good!

Same headers and packs. I think they are Summit 24"; I didn't really ask the exhaust guy. This thing really is louder though.Calfdemon wrote:That doesnt sound like the same glass packs you were running before. Did you change the exhaust setup? If so, what are you running now?

Re: Chronicles of the Blue Goose!
Thanks.
I took a spin with the hood back on. It's running hotter than I'd like in traffic, and it's dieseling/sputtering a little when I shut it off. Any suggestions?

Re: Chronicles of the Blue Goose!
Tried to address the dieseling by swapping the 192* thermostat with a 180*one.
It still ran-on so I re-adjusted the idle, which was at 1000rpm. Now having an issue where the truck drops idle drastically and wants to die at a stop. Tried adjusting the idle, the mixture, and the initial timing with some improvement.
Any suggestions?

Re: Chronicles of the Blue Goose!
Thanks for the reply.
I'm currently running 91-93 octane.
Edit: I am running the stock torque converter on the c6. Could that be the source of the rpm drop?

Re: Chronicles of the Blue Goose!
Looks like I need to up my torque converter. The new cam is rated at 1800-5800 so I believe I'll need a 2000-2200 stall. Damn.
Also having issues with run-on/dieseling when shutting it off in Park (doesn't happen in gear). I have to run a higher idle so to the truck doesn't die at stops with the low stall TC.
