Those are definitely aftermarket, however they look period correct.

Re: 1972 mirrors f100 ranger
Thanks fordman, I was starting to think that or maybe from a different make of truck. Plus I was looking at my truck and I could see 2 little half circles cracked in the paint, which I never noticed before until I started wondering about the mirrors.they must have been on the truck for a while. Are all the mirrors that mount to the door above the window and below called west coast mirrors or is there another kind I should be shopping for? Thanks for your help. Kevin.

Re: 1972 mirrors f100 ranger
Kevin, you're looking for the "West Coast Jr." mirrors. The mirror glass in the west coast Jr mirrors is smaller than the regular west coast mirriors. The factory mirrors are marked FoMoCo or Ford.
Here is a pic of the "short" bracket West Coast Jr. mirrors.
Here's a pic of the "big" bracket West Coast Jr. mirrors. The glass is the same size on both, the brackets are just bigger on these.

Re: 1972 mirrors f100 ranger
Hey any chance you could measure the distance between the bolt holes on the lower mount for those WC Jr. mirrors?
Wanting to see if I can replace my sport mirrors with those and not have a bunch of extra holes.
Thanks

Re: 1972 mirrors f100 ranger
Sure can Todd. You need the distance between the two holes on the lower mount, correct? FWIW, the brackets on bottom are the same as the top, just turned upside down.
I'll get them for you when I get around tomorrow.

Todd,
Exactly 1.5" (inch & a half) from center hole to center hole.

I'm not trying to steal the post but I've founda pair of the short style on a truck in a farmers field. What would be a fair price for a pair in good shape.
