mcheath wrote:Greetings from California. That was a great truck, sad to see that accident mess it up. Good for you that you are putting it right. Where do you get parts? Here another frame would be easy to get, and pretty cheap at my local Pick A Part, but I'm guessing that in your neck of the woods they are few and far between. Were these trucks sold new in Holland? Or are they imported now?
What will be the price of a frame at a local pick a part? I went to the f100 that was for sale today, but it was very bad! Rust everywhere, frame was alright, but he didn't wanted it to sell it apart... Too bad!

That Lincoln welder looks like mine.

Mine is the Weld Pak 10. It'll do anything from sheet metal to frame welding!
Good to hear that! I'm very happy with the welder, it's works great and easy!

Wow, you are doing super work! This is going to end up being in much better shape then before the wreak.

I checked at our Pick-A-Part on frame costs when I was there yesterday. They want $349 for a frame. Here in California, and probably all the USA as far as I know, the frame is considered the vehicle and comes with the title. Personally, I think that's a little high for a frame, if I was buying one I'd wait until their half off days they have every couple of months.

time for an updat, i'm busy with the truck 6 days in the week :D

mcheath, thanks for watching and asking! 349.- is already a good price to me... but a friend of mine is trying to straighten the frame with a special machine/frame.
if that doesnt work, i have to get a other frame.. but first, i have to wait untill he is back from his skiing vacation.
