You know when you get one of the tools that make you think "how did I ever survive without this" !!! - well I just had one - I bought a HF sand blast cabinet on sale + coupon - the larger size and did all the mods that are all over the internet - and wow - it is fantastic.

So consequently had to sand blast anything in site - I used the black magic from TSc or N'Tools.

Since these are not in the sun - I used Rustoleum Appliance epoxy - it has a really nice gloss - although the flash takes that away in teh pictures.

The pedal box - got all new bushings etc - you can click to enlarge as usual.

Theres a lot of nice work there. Gives me hope for my own ride, since I too have more rust than I would like. More than a little afraid to learn how to weld, but youve made it look easy!

Seriously though, it all looks nice. I hope mine turns out as well.

ty - slow progress as 'life' gets in the way  - but I enjoy my quality time when i do get to work on the truck.
thanks

Thanks - still wrenching when I get a chance - a lot has been put on hold since we discovered my wonderful wife had a brain tumor - two successful operations later and things look hopeful giving me some time to work on the truck and de-stress a bit.

A recap - when i bought the truck and started dismantling - i got a shock that there were no brake hardware or even drums. - the pipes had been cut and no emergency cables.
I think the truck had sat and everything had been rusted up so to move it - they just hacked away till it would roll. They did nothing with the truck and that is when i bought it

So buying the system part by part - I am so happy to say I have brakes all the way round - new hardware everywhere and even have a working emergency brake.
I stayed with drums as I wanted to keep the truck original - but did add a booster to make them work a bit better.

Next the clutch pedal and zbar connection.

sargentrs - those measurements you gave me way back as to where to cut the holes in the floor-pan for the cables etc - were spot on - so thanks again for going that extra mile !
thanks

My pleasure. They're still there, written on the floor, if anyone else needs them. I didn't even paint over them.
